Adolf Hitler's food taster Margot Wölk tried the food at 8:00 am every day, and, if she did not fall ill, the food would be sent to Hitler's military headquarters.[2] President Vladimir Putin has hired a food taster who is part of his security staff to protect himself as well.[3] In recent times, animals such as mice have been used to detect impurities in food produced for humans, such as during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.[4] In the United States, a number of recent presidents, including Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan, have been known to employ food tasters.[5]

I thought the OP was a joke.

You know, I recall reading, during T's first term, that he would have White House staff make fast food runs for him--McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken--and they were told to go to a different franchise location every time and never to go to the same location twice in a row precisely because of his fears of being poisoned.

I can't for the life of me remember the source. It was just one of those useless bits of information that was reported at some point. Possibly it is from "Fire and Fury" by Michael Wolff, but that's just a stab in the dark.

🤔
I
Mean if you’re not connected to them, what do you have to worry about?

When i first saw the pics of him in a suit eating fast food in his private airplane i figured it was pandering. Nope. He really trusts fast food due to health regulations (ironic). He left a staff member at a McDonald’s because they special ordered.

White House chefs (a choice choice job) tried to recreate a Big Mac to satisfy him.

He has a very specific process ketchup bottles to be POPPED within earshot of him.

I can document all of these stories.

Who fears being poisoned? 🤔
