(19,853 posts)Violence is not the 1st answer. It's not even the 38th answer. But it is an answer and the right answer in certain places and at times. Is this one of those times? Maybe. Maybe not. But I do know a bunch of robber barons are watching their backs tonight. And maybe second guessing some of their hubris. That's not a bad thing.

(38,869 posts)They are the people who vote in the board that then hire folks like the murdered CEO.
Maybe what we need is a market crash.

The debt forces many to make difficult sacrifices. Two-thirds of U.S. adults who've incurred health care debt who've had cancer themselves or in their family have cut spending on food, clothing or other household basics, according to a poll conducted by KFF for this project. One in 4 have declared bankruptcy or lost their home.
The financial stress from debt can hinder cancer patients' recovery and even hasten death, researchers have found.

(2,815 posts)States set the rules and often the employer is in charge of the choices of provider and treatment so that many are given substandard care with the only goal being to get them back to work.
Easy fix: universal healthcare

(161,484 posts)but WTF since when do we approve of GUN VIOLENCE? Should EVERYONE working in at United Health be targeted? ENOUGH ALREADY.
The workers at United Health don't make policy. Why would they be targeted? That is a right wing talking point, that somehow we can't oppose the management of predatory companies because the rank and file, or consumers, would be harmed somehow.
Also, people are expressing their disgust with United Health and the health care industry in general. They are also saying that they are not in mourning over this death.
Should people have mourned the death of Reinhard Heydrich? Should the people who were not mourning his death have been accused of promoting violence?

(17,649 posts)capitalism means NEVER trying to actually help people.
The job of a health care CEO is to deliver as little care as possible while maintaining an outrageous profit margin so that all of the stockholders get very rich and they can laugh at the people who are foolish enough to believe that our system is set up for health CARE.
