This is a long shot, but maybe the shock nominations of Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard will make Repub Congress members

NOT acquiesce to Trump's demand for recess appointments. Yeah, I know, I'm dreaming. They will all fall in line, except for a concerned Susan Collins and the furrow-browed Lisa Murkowski.

Do what Putin wants. It’s all about conservative values. Imagine the heat on trump from Russia.

Anything that causes hiccups in Trumps plans would be good. Even if they hold hearings and still confirm, it would be better than recess appointments. I can imagine some would rather have recess appointments as they can claim some credit for allowing it, but no paper trail that they voted for someone completely unsuitable for the job. That being said, I don’t know how many Senators have lost reelection because of their confirmation of a bad candidate.

Mango Mussolini's presidency fails spectacularly AND the Republican voters actually understand that it is his fault and the fault of all his enablers.
