. . . . . . for people in line for 2 hours in Philly, near Temple Univ. She was talking with Jacob Soboroff (and momentarily with actor Paul Rudd.
The voters were determined to vote. Rudd was handing out water. Soboroff was engaging voters. He suggested Nicolle could buy more water. She said she would like to buy pizzas.
That will be maybe the biggest pizza order in history. The line is over 2 hours long!

(19,657 posts)including those at the very end of the line. To a person they all said they were determined to vote, most for the very first time. They understand what's at stake. They'll wait. 😉

(17,762 posts)She easily has a mid 7 figure salary and could easily rxpense a pizza order if needed.
Plus, she is a really nice person and she takes this election very personally.
It wouldnt surprise me if a food truck arrived on the house.

It was a beautiful day here in the city - sunny and warm, low 70s. In fact, today's temperature tied the record for warmest election day in recorded history here in Philly (tied with the 1936 election temp).

(2,725 posts)It depends on the neighborhood, and that is a big problem. Several people here have reported breezing in ad out of their polling place and being done in 10 minutes. Meanwhile, people in other areas are standing in line for hours and hours. That is completely unacceptable, and it doesn't get enough attention. It is one of many built in advantages for the right wingers.
No one should ever have to wait in line for hours and hours to vote.
