(9,638 posts)He was a big advocate of green energy and believed climate change was real. He supports choice.
He did back some anti-labor measures, though backed off the most controversial ballot measure in response to protests.
Since leaving office, he personally donated a lot of money to build tiny homes for the homeless in Los Angeles.
Being from Austria,Arnold surely must also understand the evil of Nazis.
The GOP would have been smart to run more people with views like Arnold, instead of crazy authoritarian Nazi-loving freedom haters.

(3,106 posts)He supports health care and good schools as a fundamental right for all
He really does not fit in the Republican party any more.
Plus all the "we hate immigrants" probably does not resonate with a guy who came ove to the US with very little and made a lot of himself, first as a body builder, then an actor, and now as an activist.
May not have been a good governor (not from Cali, but know what most dems think of his tenure) -- but has come around to the moral side of a lot of issues about equity and equality.
On top of that, Nazi rhetoric not really going to win him over either.

He definitely needs to do an ad and say he won't go back!
