what were seeing is the result of a pretty lackluster turnout in 2010. Hopefully we'll bust our collective asses to see it doesn't happen again in 2014.

They are not going to help, period. If they weren't aroused enough by the Tea Party was saying they would do in 2010, they will stay aloof, find fault and do nothing. 2012 was won without their help, I don't expect them to help now.

I believe in the people who waited in those lines and voted. They will decide the future, not the complacent cynics who still feel no sense of urgency from what is being done now by the remanants of the Tea Party. The founders of the TP are not holding back at all.

If they cave in to the Repukes and adopt right wing policies like they did in 2009-2010, they will again be disappointed with the turnout. FWIW it looks like Obama is getting ready to cave in on Medicare and SS, which will serve the Dems poorly in the mid-terms.

will be in that line from 4 to 8 hours. Voter suppression, It is what's for breakfast election mornings!

The GOP must be made to pay for their attacks against Americans in favor of Corporations.
Remember, Repugnants took the floor to APOLOGIZE to the CEO of BP (Deepwater Horizon) for the President saying BP would be held accountable for 11 deaths.

We don't count to Republicans.

Get rid of these backstabbing repugnants who only want the best for the rich-ONLY! This has been my remedy all along but apparently some people thought it was a bit overboard thinking. I don't think it appears to be so overboard now. There is no other way except to get rid of these repugnants-once and all. And please don't be convinced with all of their lying and conniving; they will lie to your face and stab you in the back at the same time (I think that used to be a song

don't do any other than write strongly worded letters- they do not support unions. Then, when re-election time comes, we are forced to chose between reps that are anti-union, and dems who just don't care.

I ask "who are the democrats"- and why do they keep voting for these asinine Republicans? Is it that they love getting their asses kicked by the Repugnants? Does it feel so good getting their asses kicked that they don't want to stop it? It's like butting your head against a brick wall! That's insanity.

I am a lifelone Democrat and I have NEVER, and I do mean NEVER, voted for a republican! BTW, I am over 65 years old. I am absolutely proud of that fact and can't say it enough times. I am also an educated individual with 2 degrees-both earned the old fashioned way; brick and mortar onsite and not ONLINE!

Hi dear, glad to hear from you. I know that we might be outnumbered in some arenas but if we ONLY did what we are supposed to do, I guarantee that things would be much better. Unfortunately, we don't take care of our own business and instead allow others to control it, thinking that somehow others know better what is best for US. This is where the downturn begins, by letting others determine what is best for us which means that we do not believe in ourselves.

I appreciate your input sweetheart and hope that we can encourage others to take the correct path as we have done. Peace

Just let me add jillan, that sometimes-and somehow- certain aholes manage to get in, i.e. La Bruja and John McCain. But remember that karma is a bitch and they will get theirs soon. We just have to keep on trucking!

In the end we will win, if we don't give up.

Yep. The Postal Union saved his butt on more than one occasion.
Did that soften his position towards Unions? Nope, not one bit.

There really are people like that out there. They want what they think they deserve, and screw everyone else.

My first ever post here on DU. I follow on FB, but just found the boards.

I'm in Michigan, a former union teacher in an inner city school. I left the public sector to start my own business.......

But I still support the union. I can't wait to vote Snyder out. I tried last time, but hopefully this will organize this state even more.
