I was talking about how increasing improvements in productivity was bringing us to a point where we were going to have to reconsider the whole morality of employment because there was simply not going to be enough jobs for everyone, and we would have to reconsider our basic view of economy and property.
He was sympathetic and said well society always has a fall back but it isn't very good, "build more jails".
Ultimately we will either have to guarantee everyone work or build more jails.
