In 1973, Agnew was investigated by the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland on suspicion of criminal conspiracy, bribery, extortion, and tax fraud. Agnew took kickbacks from contractors during his time as Baltimore county executive and governor of Maryland. The payments had continued into his time as vice president, but had nothing to do with the Watergate scandal, in which he was not implicated. After months of maintaining his innocence, Agnew pleaded no contest to a single felony charge of tax evasion and resigned from office.

Agnew was a common criminal in an uncommon job. He was punished and the country threw him away like the trash he is.

Then you have Cheney who is quite likely to be the most evil man ever to hold the office. I honestly have no idea why he has not given a full-throated endorsement of Trump.

Vance completely lacks a soul and any decent human emotion. He is the perfect example of everything wrong with this country.

However my vote for the worst of them all is Palin simply because she ushered in this era we are in now by dragging Republicans deeper into the muck. She made them openly worship stupidity and hatred by publicly embracing and embodying those “values.” If McCain had never brought her to the national stage, we likely never would have gotten Trump foisted upon us as he is simply a man giving life to her intellect, personality and viewpoints. She changed the Republican Party and somehow made it worse than it had been during the W years. She was MAGA before it was given a name and date of birth.

I was around during Agnew, but didn't pay all that much attention to him at the time. I thought he was a jerk, but I was in 8-12th grade.

Was that he wasn't even under consideration for VP. He was supposed to help Bush in picking a VP, but supposedly none of the contenders like George Pataki weren't impressive enough. I was really torn between Agnew and Tricky Dicky.

Sarah Palin had some appeal and definitely had a fan base and a movement of support. JD Vance has none of that, he is a wet limp handshake of a nominee.
