The discussion was on the "fiscal cliff" and as I tuned in late I didn't hear the first part. Morning Joe evidently thinks the President is not being cooperative in these talks and she came out with that statement. Yes Mika, we did win, we do have a mandate and tough #^$% if you don't like it. Arrogant? Wow, her republicanism really showed. Now they have Tony Blair on telling us about the Palestine/Israel situation. I had to turn the show off. I don't really know what Blair had to say, Mika's arrogance statement stunned me. And here I thought she was a Dem...LOL..

(102,202 posts)Her attention-seeking, pandering and need for approval from the male figures in her life does not require a psychiatrist to recognize...
It saddens me, but as much as I like and respect her Father, I think this underscores the insecurities she developed growing up in a home with a brilliant, yet singularly intimidating and demanding Father-figure.

(3,077 posts)I also saw Joe's rant about taxes. When is someone on these talk shows ever gonna say that the first $250, 000 is gonna get taxed at one rate. But, the increase in taxes only will apply to the amount above the $250, 000.

It was pure brown nosing for the republicans.

(63,901 posts)First, he delivers his indictment and then, to show her "fairness" and her ability to "reach across the aisle" (so to speak), she launches her tirade du jour of the Democrats.
I did the same thing with David Brooks' column this morning. I saw his byline and said "OK, let me try to write the column" and I ticked off his sorrowful "for their part, the Democrats have to agree to entitlement cuts" (all cuts that hurt the lower middle class and guaranteed to throw them further down the economic scale) and characterizing stimulus money and "big spending." And sure enough, voila! There is was in print right before my very eyes!
No, no and no.

(12,375 posts)"Obama should start acting like a president."
Seriously, I wish Obama would start acting like Henry the VIII and toss Joe in the Tower of London with an option to keep his head if he starts keeping his big mouth shut. This daily whimpering and whining and chewing on sour grapes was kinda fun to listen to at first, but now it is just grating. But on a brighter side, Matt Damon on the Today Show was cute, and a barrel of laughs when I finally got a brain and changed the channel.

(17,609 posts)they always lead into it with the Dems need to back down and find a way to help the republiCONS when they are being ridiculous.
Yesterday, lou dobbs talked about the President's so called arrogance then proceeded to tell him how a President is suppose to act.

Hopelessness/learned helplessness are powerful paralytic agents. I think one good path to increased power for Dems is to reach out to the hopeless, not just with charitable giving, but with self-empowerment strategies.

(10,269 posts)not to mention, the Dem's (and The President) already AGREED to saftey net cuts, its called the DEAL THAT TAKES EFFECT ON JAN 1 IF NOTHING ELSE IS DONE. It's not a deal that our side cares for all that much, but since we decided we hate the Bush Tax Rates MORE than we dislike the cuts we will have to endure as part of the sequestration package, we are sort of ok with what will happen come the new year. Since that's the case, it has to be the GOP that has to offer something more palatable to US in order to make a NEW and BETTER deal on this thing.
And straight-up fuck anyone who can't or WON'T understand this, because it's not that damn hard.
