Dan Savage and Seattle Host a GIANT Day of Gay Weddings on Dec. 9th. And you can help!!
I have never been inclined to post fundraising things on DU, but if your money ever went to a good, kind, life-affirming, equal rights supporting party of a cause, it's Dan Savage's project of helping to make December 9th an incredible, special day, the first day that gay couples can legally marry in Washington State.
Seattle City Hall is opening its doors to anyone who wants to marry and can get a license by the 6th. Dan and designer Jennifer Zeyl are working to create beautiful, intimate wedding nooks all around the immense lobby. They are asking for a little money to defray costs of decorating these special spaces. It should be a day to remember!

This is how the world should treat its people, not only with "tolerance", but with open arms and a desire to give us all the special. much loved lives we deserve.
