if she doesn't want him as SOS, why does Kerry only want a short term job, when once reelected easily in 2014, he has at least 6 more years instead of 4?

and what makes him so sure he would be passed? The repubs did not treat him nice in 2004, did they?

First, Cilinton would have to run and win the Presidency in 2016, something she says she has no interest in doing. And, then Senator Kerry would have to be offered the post-which I highly doubt. Clinton would probably ask Madeline Albright to serve before she would ever ask Senator Kerry.

Foreign policy has been a passion of his for years. His father was a diplomat and Senator Kerry is well respected for his expertise around the world. But, I think he would hesitate to take the post, if it was at the expense of someone else. But, my opinion is he should take it if offered no matter what has transpired, because he would make one hell of a excellent SOS.

but I doubt he would want to give up his senate seat now for a four year job.

Haven't heard anything in the past four years about him still wanting it.
