Zero Students Opt For University Of Colorado’s Gun Dorm

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by SYFROYH (a host of the General Discussion forum).

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/11/26/1233641/zero-students-opt-for-university-of-colorados-gun-dorm/

Colorado has found no takers for its newly-created dorms for students with concealed-carry permits. Though both its Boulder and Colorado Springs campuses began offering segregated dorms for those students who wish to keep their concealed weapons in their dorms in August, a university spokesman told the Denver Post “so far, no one has moved.” Guns are prohibited in all other campus dormitories. The creation of the dorms followed a March ruling by the state’s supreme court that the school could not outright ban concealed weapons on campus.

This is beyond the gun discussion and ranks in political discussion of attitudes toward right and left wing politics.

Perhaps those who carry live off-campus?

Not sure it demonstrates anything other than typical demographics.

know, now you have to worry they might think you're "breaking in" or "stealing their stuff" or "looking at their girlfriend"--whichever reason might cause that gun to go off some night.

Gunners are living in denial about the popularity of lax gun restrictions. and my bet is gunners will try to force all the other dorms to let guns in.

All he ever talked about was going to his cabin in the woods every weekend and shooting at whatever kind of critter happened to be in season at the time.
