Ronna will be on MTP tomorrow on MSNBC to introduce herself to its viewership. Is there ANYONE who thinks Welker will do anything but gush?
Just read this on Aaron Rupar's twitter. Although he covers Sunday shows, he is boycotting this. And I will too.

They've only been doing the same thing for at least 40 years now.

I wasn't Russert's biggest fan, but at least he tried to hold "feet to fire" on occasion. The subservience of the ever obsequious Welker is embarrassing and Toady? Well...

(18,567 posts)Not another rwnj spokesperson on what was the last bastion of decent commentary on current events. I told my friend the other day that Lawrence O'Donnell is the only one I will listen to for most of the show. And Rachel Maddow, of course. There are a couple of subs I like, but they aren't on all the time. Seems like a rwnj venture capitalist got hold of msnbc and is systematically running it into the ground.
Glad there is DU. Can look at the stories posted and read between the lines :/

(17,128 posts)I've always thought of MtP as Meet the GQP. Anytime I tried to watch it over the years whenever I've bothered with the telly--or was visiting someone watching one, they were giving fawning coverage to the GQP and letting them lie at will, with nary a Democrat in sight.

1. You are not obligated to watch Meet the Press.
2. Watching MTP or other news talk shows is not activism.

(72,079 posts)Some high pitched yammering became annoying enough to make me look up to see what the heck was going on, and it was *him* being hysterical and motor mouthing and Brit HUME wannabe Jon KARL called him the VICE CHAIR of the Senate Intelligence Committee - uh, does he seem like somebody to be close to major security decisions?! And KARL was smiling/laughing at him all the way to the end. He needed to grab a bottled water.
