I am so tired of...republicans

Holding back American progress. Tired of being held hostage to republicans personality disorders.

Why do they vote for the abusive shit they vote for?

Why do they use fear tactics?

Why do they like making the poor suffer?

Why do they think in terms of black and white?

Why do they play victim when obviously they are not being victimized?

Why are they so closed minded?

It’s all about who they are, their personalities, and an outer locus of control.

And America is being held back by the way republicans are. We democrats owe them nothing. They are not entitled to anything.

Dems remember that please.

into people with certain personality traits, such people will always be with us.

The way their brains are wired so differently makes me wonder if we're in the process of a species split. We're overdue for some sort of change.

Golden Rule - to do unto others as they would have others do unto them? The Wall Street greed-lizards definitely would not know how to even deal with that. Nor would Madison Avenue, the Pentagon, publicly traded corporations and a host of others.

Because make no mistake - Republicans pretend to be Christian, but the reality is they worship the Golden Calf (bronze bull) of Wall Street. That is America's real God.

They assume being poor is one's own fault. It's related to the just world hypothesis:

The just-world hypothesis or just-world fallacy is the cognitive bias that assumes that "people get what they deserve" – that actions will necessarily have morally fair and fitting consequences for the actor. For example, the assumptions that noble actions will eventually be rewarded and evil actions will eventually be punished fall under this hypothesis. In other words, the just-world hypothesis is the tendency to attribute consequences to—or expect consequences as the result of— either a universal force that restores moral balance or a universal connection between the nature of actions and their results.

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-world_hypothesis

This world view is of course based on a lot of incorrect assumptions, but it is nonetheless held by many people, consciously or unconsciously.

Unfortunately, those who believe people get what they deserve tend to see poor people as undeserving, thereby relieving themselves of any obligation to share what they regard as their own well-deserved wealth.

It was on a different subject (rape) but applies across the board. To paraphrase (because I'm too lazy to look it up) -

As long as they can point to some behavior, fault or failing that they can claim caused the condition (in this case, poverty), they can be comfortably righteous. Superciliously superior. Not at risk and definitely off the hook.

If those things aren't a factor, well then, it can happen to anybody. It could happen to you. That's just too terrifying to face.

And if you face it, you have to try to do something about it.

these are not the "ol Guard" Republicans we think of. They have been overtaken by this group of "New" Republicans.
My father and all his cronies, who were staunch Repubs back in the Ike days, are all rolling over in their Graves.

Some French guy back in the 1700's when we were first forming this nation as a Democracy said:

"A Democracy will last only until some individuals or group figures out that they can vote themselves money"....And here we are!!!!!!

It's so very hard when you haven't been brought up by hard line conspiracy nuts.

If you think Marjorie Taylor Greene is nuts, you should meet her dad

But given rumors of Bank failures leading to worthless dollars going back centuries, it's wise to protect your sanity. They didn't.
