STRAWBERRY POINT, Iowa - A man faces felony charges after allegedly assaulting several family members Thursday evening, officials said.
Officials responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in rural Strawberry Point around 7:35 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found 40-year-old Glen Henke assaulting an adult female, a news release said.
During further investigation, authorities discovered Henke had also assaulted his nephew by punching him and slicing him in the forehead with a knife, pushed his mother to the ground twice and punched his sister in the face and head prior to the arrival of deputies, a news release said.
Henke was taken to the Clayton County Jail where he awaits an appearance before a magistrate. Henke faces charges of domestic abuse assault, a serious misdemeanor, and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. Henke also faces two counts of willful injury, and going armed with intent, both felonies.
