Republicans missed its point completely.

Tomi Lauren exemplifies this:

What she didn’t know, as she’s an ignorant ass, is the ad was placed by the owners of Hobby Lobby, the hard-right ultra-Christian family. You know, Lauren’s compatriots!

Such stupidity.

He was attempting to make money from our allies and our enemies.

The only money Trump cares about is money that's going into his pocket.

Yes I think it's entirely possible he had this conversation.

In fact I think it's quite likely that Trump discussed money with most world leaders.

Trump is a ruthless sociopath, a con man, and he is always thinking of an angle to make money.
And he doesn't care what he has to do to obtain it.

Also to brag and look important.

I think it's very safe to assume that once Trump got into the White House, he ordered the CIA and other covert intelligence agencies to do dossiers and all of his friends, enemies, and world leaders.

This is the way he can manipulate people to do what he wants them to do and also make some money.

This is a big reason why he took some of these documents with him because they were his personal stash of tools to control, manipulate and make money.

They are so demanding, entitled and easily affronted.

But they take a wrecking ball to everyone at the slightest provocation.
And never honor their obligations and debts.

They don't care who they hurt.

They think people do not need to be paid for services rendered.
The world should consider it an honor to do work for them.

The point is that he said what he said about aiding countries that he feels are not busting their budgets on their military. Not to mention the fact that there are no actual membership dues to be part of the alliance.

All but the most deluded Trump follower understands that most of what Trump says about his prowse and bluster is simply a lie. He wants his brain dead followers to think that he is tough and "fighting for us".

To people who has even limited knowledge and interest in geopolitics, what Trump's story illustrates is that he is an incompetent, petulant idiot.

The issue of NATO's spending for defense as part of the alliance was an issue that had been negotiated and settled as of 2013-2014. They were all raising their defense spending to GDP percentage to the agreed upon levels way before Trump was in office.

Trump sounded like 1. A liar and 2. A low level extortionist, "Nice store you have there, we wouldn't want anything to happen to it".

I do agree that the media needs to be more assertive about the continual stream of lies that come out of Trump's mouth. They allow way too much without pointing out that he is lying about a situation and that his lies provide comfort to our geopolitical adversaries.
