Question on if/how Obamacare will help me

I work for a staffing agency (as a contract worker in the healthcare field) that "offers" (crappy) insurance. I shouldn't even say THEY offer it since they subtract $2/hour from anyone's hourly rate from those who decide to take the insurance.
Back when the part of Obamacare passed about kids under the age of 26 could stay on their parents' insurance I called the insurance company to try and get my then 24 yr old on it. Their response was that they were not a full medical insurance company, that they were (forget the exact phrase they used) a medical discount agency or something like that.
At any rate, bottom line is that they told me they didn't have to go by the new law.
Frankly, the overall "insurance" policy sucks and I pay $320/month to cover me and my college age 21 yr old daughter (but can't get my now 25 yr old covered).
I live in Texas and I read how gov goodhair isn't going to do shit to help any of us as far as the new insurance law goes.
So my question is, when the full Obamacare law kicks in, will I have any OTHER option to turn to in an attempt to get better coverage for less per month?
Because I would love to tell the agency to keep their damn lousy insurance and get my extra $2/hour back!

Thanks in advance!

Yes you'll have other options Schema Thing Nov 2012 #1
The solution would have been legislation that makes health insurance more affordable. Southerner Nov 2012 #2

Though I don't know that they will be cheaper. Some will likely be about the same with perhaps better coverage.

Not sure your company is being straight with you about your 25 year old (I don't think they are - it's the actual insurance company that is required to allow kids up to 26).

But anyway, your 25yo can already be covered under Obamacare in Texas. She would pay approx $207 on the PCIP (everyone has some kind of pre-existing condition. They aren't making you verify it in any way now).

We have seen no such legislation.
