How long before faux outrage over Biden's NJ statement?

?4

Joe's use of the word "homeboy" will undoubtedly be used out of context and play into the whole Obama game.

Vice President Joe Biden visited New Jersey on Sunday to see the devastation from Superstorm Sandy, and reassured victims that coming from a neighboring state he would stay on top of the devastation.

"So as the president said when he was up here with the governor, we’re not going anywhere. We’re not going anywhere. And you’ve got a homeboy in the deal who gets it," said Biden in Seaside Heights, N.J., according to White House pool reports.

but I can't see that there's anything objectionable with it, other than it being somewhat out of character.

already out of context assumes he is referring to Obama, not himself as a nearby state resident.

Many do not and will rely on others to interpret.

I think he meant hometown boy as well. In any case, I don't care because the elections over. Gaffe away.

home boy or homey. My kids (ages 28, 26, 24 and 21) all use the term. Yes, it's short for home town but, it's the language of the younger generation. True, it originates in the Black community but young ones raised in a diversified community, attend diversified schools all use the term.

I don't see the outrage.

Biden often misspeaks. Check my screen name for a classic example!

It refers, in fact, to himself as a Delaware resident, an Eastern Seaboard state.

Barack Obama has not roots in the Eastern Seaboard.

RW sites are trying to turn it into a racist remark, which it is not.
