Gun store refuses to sell to Barack Obama voters

A gun store has stated that it will refuse to sell to anyone who voted for Barack Obama at this year's presidential election.

The Southwest Shooting Authority in Pinetop, Arizona posted the warning in an newspaper advertisement.

The notice in the White Mountain Independent read: "If you voted for Barack Obama, your business is NOT WELCOME at the Southwest Shooting Authority.

"You have proven you are not responsible enough to own a firearm."

Owner Cope Reynolds revealed to The Huffington Post: "It is about the direction that this country is going and the direction it's been going for the last four years.

A douchebag born every minute.

I know for a fact that progressives own guns, just visit the Gundgeon here at DU. So in a year when this guy is going out of business he'll know it's because half the state does not want to buy from him because he's an asshole.

I would have only needed to buy weapons and form up with a militia if the reich wing had stolen the election.

Besides if THEIR store supports Robme and his ilk, I wouldn't want my money to go to them anyway.

How many do they need? thirty, forty, fifty each. Will there ever be a time when enough is enough? I speak for myself but news like this causes me great embarrassment for the USA..I own a couple of guns myself, so this doesn't come from a great dislike of guns... I own a hunting rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun.....but that is all I need to get by just fine in my life..

I know that Democrats, liberals and people who aren't Republicans--buy guns.

Setting that aside for a minute--we know that the right-wing is saturated with the gun nuts, gun enthusiasts and people who are convinced that Obama wants to take away their guns. So, really, from a PR/marketing standpoint--this guy will be helped, rather than hurt.

The crazy, anti-Obama gun people on the right will absolutely eat this up. They'll get their guns from him, I'm sure.

Yes, another way is they are stolen from a supposedly responsible gun owner, who screws up and turns out not to be responsible enough to secure lethal weapons. Or, guns are bought from a "part-time dealer" at a gun show. Or, as you say a "straw-purchase." I suspect a lot of gun shops know they are straw-purchases, but what the heck, it's a fist full of cash and all the legal criteria is met (so it must be OK). Then, there is the so-called responsible gun owner, too cheap to go through an FFL for a background check and who knows there will be little way to track the gun to him in event purchaser shoots someone.

In addition to working for defeat of Obama and other good Democrats, the NRA lobbies heavily to preserve this screwed up system on behalf of members, non-member gun cultists, manufacturers of lethal weapons, and local gun traffickers (euphemistically referred to as "gun shops&quot .

start looking at the most expensive hunting rifle in stock, talk to them about the add ons, custom stock, nightvision scope, gun lock, gun case, trigger rework and get that sucker up there.

then tell them you voted for the President and won't be able to follow through on the purchase.

that should frost them a bit.
