US Senate Seats the Democrats held when they had over 55 US Senate seats.

AK- Begich-D
AR- Lincoln-D and M.Pryor-D
FL-Nelson-D
IN-Bayh-D
IA-Harkin-D
LA-Landrieu-D
MO-McCaskill-D
MT-Baucus-D
NE-Nelson-D
NC-Hagan-D
ND-Conrad-D and Hoeven-D
SD-Johnson-D
WV-Rockefeller-D
WI-Feingold-D

2024
Democrats will hold onto AZ,MI,MT,NV,OH,PA,WI and pick up FL,MO,and TX = 53 seats.
2026
Democrats will hold onto GA and MI and pick up ME and NC= 55 seats.
2028
Democrats will hold onto AZ,GA,NV,PA, and pick up NC and WI= 57 seats.

Democrats can pick up TX in 2026 if Cornyn-R retires. Scott Kelly-D is the leading candidate.

That is some serious optimism, but positive thinking is good.

On another note, there are a lot of moderates on that list. They're a much rarer breed now-a-days.

Begich, Lincoln, Pryor, Landrieu, Baucus, Nelson, McCaskill, Hagan, Conrad and Rockefeller were the kind of center-right Democrats that folks here hate.
