Obama not even sworn in yet...

... for his second term, and the thugs are getting ugly with this Ben Gazzi shit. I honestly believe a large part of the reason for this is simply to try taking the joy of this victory away from us. Don't let it get to you. Obama slapped Rmoney all over the stage when he started on this in the debates, the same result will occur on a larger scale if they persist in this nonsense.

I can't wait.

So they WILL impeach. It's what they do.

Then it will spark nationwide violence in response.

Losing re-election would be all the evidence they would need to proclaim his election a fluke and his administration a failure.

From even before President Obama was even elected, they flung all kinds of shit at the wall, hoping it would stick. None of it did. They're flinging boatloads of Benghazi shit against the wall now, thinking that if they just fling overwhelming amounts of shit some of it HAS GOT TO STICK this time. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

they'll investigate, they'll cry foul, they might try to force a few people to resign. and of course they'll keep that impeachment threat out there plenty. always a good way to get press coverage.

but after the clinton impeachment fiasco, i think they understand that the people will insist that the next actual impeachment have the goods behind it.

What I do hope is, if they are that stupid, that it will provoke enough outrage to oust them from the house in 2014.

and not be shy about it. He must use the bully-pulpit as much as he possibly can because corporate media will happily give the GOP all the media coverage they can handle in a sort of GOP bully-pulpit that they've been enjoying ever since Ronnie Raygun.

Just in case a lot of people haven't noticed, this has had an effect of weakening he president's one main tool to connect with the American people, effectively weakening the so-called bully-pulpit. It's time the president - and ALL Democrats in and outside of Congress - gets his ground-game together again to continue to campaign for progressive policies.

public sentiment. All the Bully Pulpit will do is move public sentiment, and even that has limits.

They really don't care what the people think. Their view of America, their view of the world is such that it doesn't admit to error and sees everything else as evil.

there are still "Independents" and the rest of us who would like to see the fire of the president when he goes on the attack, representing us. Perception is king and corporate media is all too willing to distort the facts if they're allowed to (always in favor of the party that represents the corporations). People simply like to see a person fight for his/her convictions even though we know they're correct. We like to see the courage of their convictions or we'll begin to doubt the validity of it. Hasn't that always been so?

But I think they're trying to grasp at straws so they can convince the Democratic Senate that there are grounds for impeachment. And I think it will fail miserably. Or maybe the repukes are just genuinely concerned about the loss of life at BenGhazzi (sp). Or maybe...ah who knows? But I'd be willing to bet that they don't care much about the lives lost, just the negative political fall out it may have on the Obama administration.

but it's not working for a number of reasons:

  • the mainstream media isn't particularly playing along

  • average Americans don't especially care about deaths outside the US, even American deaths.

In Bill Clinton's case, the public didn't give a crap about his nickel and dime business deals and Arkansas, and while they liked the salacious details of his sex life, they didn't want to fire him for them.

If the MSM doesn't play along, Fox and talk radio will be increasingly talking to themselves and speeding the decline of the right.
