I especially love the option for a NIGHT MODE : Light text on a dark background for reduced glare. It really helps to save the old eyes.

I'm in and out but I did send an email to Elad, as requested so the issue can be looked at. I don't think I'm the only one with the issue. Even so, it's all being tested so finding the bugs is at least a positive thing.

6. It seems to matter whether you're using a cellphone or a computer

I'm on a desktop computer and the new DU4 screens are great for me. Very legible and user-friendly.

The only criticisms I've seen are coming from cellphone users. But ... your mileage may vary.

7. I figure if I can get used to turning on a car by pressing a button

instead of inserting and turning a key, I can accommodate anything (and yes, I eventually (finally?) did get used to pushing the button, but still sometimes reach for the ignition.)

I'd still rather have a keyed-ignition (as well as a 1984 Ford F150 to go along with it), but all in all, I think I'm doing pretty good keeping up with the class.

That I don't really like is that the right column space taking up part of the screen, on a laptop, such that the messages are squeezed into the middle and the messages start out in a much narrower area and I have to enlarge the font size to read it and it makes the sigline pictures too small.

Seems like a lot of dead space. On DU3 the messages area got all the way to the right.

Even in Skinner mode, I just can't. Well, I mean, I'll have to eventually and am forcing myself to look at it on my computer and iPad so far. There's something about it that gives me an instant headache. Might just be too much stuff on the page... sensory overload? The font in normal mode is too small and close together horizontally.

Yeah, I'm old and don't like change. But I did just buy a new-to-me hybrid car last month after not shopping for one since 2004. I feel somewhat like Rip Van Winkle, waking up to things like push-button start, heads up display, ApplePlay, and all the other things newer cars do. So, I can learn and adjust. It's actually possible. But my new car never gave me a headache.

It's going to take me some time to learn and adjust to DU4, but I can't promise I'll ever like it.
