as a long time DUer, I can say there have been instances in the past where we've been 'infiltrated' either by paid or unpaid 'operatives' who try to confuse the dialogue.

As far as compromise goes, we should strive for it, as long all parties involved have the best interest of all of the American people in mind. When that's not the case, standing one's ground is needed (doing the right thing).

People making a project out of enabling potential entitlement benefit cuts are the only true Democrats.

The Democratic Party has always been about kicking these Medicare queens in the ass... with their fancy dialysis machines and lah-de-dah chemotherapy.

If liberalism stands for anything it stands for the proposition that the old and sick should go fuck themselves and I am excited to see so the liberal renaissance here and elsewhere.

They have no ideas. More more more. Mine Mine Mine!!!

They paid them, but they sent them out unarmed with any decent arguments whatsoever.

Except perhaps a team to help them with absurd backup and recs...

Why don't you tell us...what can we possibly compromise on? What good ideas do they have? Have you listened to them lately?

Words are cheap, after all. The rest of that money would be used either to get richer or to buy off politicians when they run for re-election.

If the feds can monitor a website, right-wing think tanks probably could too.

Wall Street created "Third Way" Dems for that.

Without a serious fix, Social Security will become social insecurity, and Medicare will become pinched. We hope the progressive community can put aside ideologies of the past and join the president in seeking a responsible and balanced long-term fix to the fiscal cliff.

My point is that DUer's in general are pretty savvy about that, the MIRT team is also really on top of it.

That doesn't mean it doesn't happen or even that it can't be effective. It was just the *telling DUer's what to d* part that I found funny.

that advertisements should be clearly labeled as such.

Seriously, any progressive poster who has been at DU over time witnessed the infiltration and the transformation of DU. It used to be very different. The Third Way tactics are clear and are a large part of why DU lost so many good, progressive posters within a short time period.

How to co-opt a party into Third Way, corporate loyalty.
