Ohio with about 30% of the vote in issue 1 is going down ..

... by something like 70 v 30%. The Republicans are the
dog who has caught the car. Even consistently red and suburban and red counties are voting pro women.

I am happy.

This amendment is about changing it to make citizen initiatives to change the constitution harder. Far too many far right republicans are voting for it because they want to be able to change other things in the constitution.

Yes - the reason it was brought now was to beat the November reproductive rights amendment. But that vote will be a lot closer than this one.

This is much bigger than Ohio, and I hope it sends a message to other repuQ-dominated state legislatures that screwing with democracy is a losing proposition - literally.

Lots of small gov Republicans didn't like this bill. They don't trust minority rule any more than we do.

But I'll take the win no matter the reason, and would be very happy to be convinced it was a pro woman vote.

This means abortion laws that won't kill women and recreational pot. And the GOP won't ride roughshod over Ohioans with shitty laws.
