6. Russia or not, American males have historically been insecure about their manhood.

"American manhood under attack" is just one manifestation of this insecurity. Failure to deal with women on equal terms, irrational hatred of non-binary lifestyles, obsessive preoccupation with the size of their erection, are all symptoms of the same social conditioning. To a large degree it is probably baked into American society based on its puritan origins, and is independent of foreign influences. One way or another, it is likely to float to the surface every once in a while and take some form of a defensive narrative that would grow or diminish in popularity as time goes by.

8. If by American Manhood they mean white men acting & saying anyway & anything they want,

then hell yes it's under attack! This is not just an American problem, though. There is a type of man all over the world, that needs to get the fuck over themself.

Interestingly, these are the very men who have mostly been in charge over time & the ones whose policies we've all been forced to follow, cuz they've had the power & called the shots, & here we are, the entire species, scratch that, the entire globe on an ecological brink & they still think they're better than the rest of us & deserve to be in charge.

"America's Manhood" has been a talking point for Conservatives and further right extremists for a long time. The idea that men are being feminized is not only globally historical, but has been a key point of Conservative politics in the United States since the founding.

It is ALWAYS pushed by the right wing. Left leaning people are typically comfortable with changing concepts of femininity and masculinity. We typically exist without too much problem in a nuanced world. It is right wingers who seem to need things defined in a a binary way.

Why would I, as a man, be threatened of particular women are physically stronger than I am, or are better at fixing a car, or at sports? I am good at what I am good at. Better at some things than other people and not as good at others as other people. If "something" threatens your "masculinity" you should FIRST look at yourself and your own concept of your value. You shouldn't blame women, gay people, trans people etc... for making YOU feel bad about yourself.

Words could certainly castigate men, sensu reprimand men, which is what I think phrases like "toxic masculinity" are meant to do.

In general, I think everyone should leave the parts package of my manhood out of this...

And I would say that for the men that have above said toxicity, they all too frequently have no shame to be called upon by reprimands.
