McCain: Obama Presidency "will be remembered with the scorn and disdain that it deserves."

Reverend Al just showed the clip on MSNBC. Motherfucker made the statement on THE FLOOR OF THE SENATE. I guess in McCain's mind Obama is still "that one."

A while back (sometime earlier this year) I posted a picture of Obama and McCain in a room full of people...unfortunately I don't remember the context...the photographer captured a wide shot of Obama in the foreground and McCain GLARING at him from across the room. It was the classic "pissed off McCain face"...we've all seen it a hundred times if we've seen it once...but his eyes were locked on Obama and the hatred was unmistakable.

Thought he deserved the office, even though the vast majority of American voters thought otherwise. Nothing to admire in this mean spirited person. A very small man who does, at the end of the day, truly reflect the values of the Teapublican Party. Going out with no class, as his day in the spotlight slowly dims.

Yes, he served in the Military, and yes, he did time in a P.O.W. camp...and it saddens me that any man or woman would have to endure that.

But he's also lived a lot of years before and after those events, and all roads lead to this man being somewhat less than "noble." He's the last person who should be whizzing on someone else's "legacy."

Take out that POW chapter (one that isn't quite as honorable as his PR would like it to be http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=3172), he was not particularly distinguished at the Naval Academy (graduated 894/899), a reckless cowboy with a couple of aircraft crashes. Lucky for him dad and grandad were USN Admirals. He should have been thrown out of the Senate for the Keating 5 scandal (turns out he was ahead of his time as the quintessential private service Republican legislator). A real Maverick who thought adding Sarah Palin would give his ticket some sexiness.

Quite a legacy, John McCain....keep pointing to Barack's legacy and we'll be happy to compare you both.

“Over 4,000 brave young Americans gave their lives in this conflict. I pray that their sacrifice is not in vain. I hope that their families will not mourn the day that their sons and daughters went out to fight for freedom for the Iraqi people. Unfortunately, it is clear that this decision of a complete pullout of United States troops from Iraq was dictated by politics, and not our national security interests. I believe that history will judge this President’s leadership with the scorn and disdain it deserves.”

They never came to an agreement on asking US forces to stay beyond 2011. If Obama had made a snap call to stay despite Parliament's actions, it would only encourage more growth in anti-US resistance inside Iraq. Whatever problems Iraq has are best left to the people of Iraq at this point.

Reverend Al's guest (sorry, don't remember his name) said something along the lines that the 4,000 Americans gave their lives, and thousands more lost limbs or sustained other injuries, and we can't change that, but we CAN BRING THE CURRENT TROOPS HOME.

You don't honor the loss of 4,000 Americans by letting 4,000 more die for no good reason.

THIS mission HAS been "accomplished," with the death of bin Laden and most of his upper-echelon lackeys. Time to call it a day. Sorry, Senator McCain.

Who negotiated the Status of Forces agreement that had us pulling out by the end of 2011? George W. Bush.

If we had stayed longer, it would have been without the invitation of the Iraqi government. Wonder what that's called? Hmmm...

Pipe down, old man. You've still got your Guantanamo toy to yank the legs off flies with, don't ya?
