The self-immolation of Ron DeSantis.

Not a smart guy...

Obviously the heir apparent to Trump... all he had to do was endorse Trump and give a "This is not the time, Florida needs me for 4 more years..." speech

Then win or lose in 24 nd Trump gets behind DeSantis 110%...

Doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that Trump wins the 24 nomination going away and Crispy-Cake, Dense, Loser and "Who-dat" are merely speedbumps.

Now, DeSantis will be bruised, the MAGAt's may or may not be behind him in 28...

You've heard the expression "me, myself, and I" ? Well, with trump it's him, himself, and him.

he'll be the runner up to President Utter Asshole this time, so he'll be the front runner in 2028.

problem is, the more people see him, the more they dislike him. but will they dislike him more than they hate Kamala in '28?

Whether Republican voters would give him yet another bite at the electoral apple in 2028 after losing the popular vote three times in a row by increasing margins is an open question right this minute. He may not be the Republican nominee in 2024, but that's the trend. He hasn't done jack shit to reverse the 7.1 million loss of 2020, and he could lose in 2024 by 10 million votes.

But this idea that he ran for president because he needed the "next thing" just isn't the case.

In fact he is ignoring the position he has to run for President.

This is all ego and opportunism.

It would have made much more sense for him to wait it out and run in 28. He would have been done with the Governors office in 26 so he could have been a full time candidate.

But the truth is that he had 15 minutes of fame and I think everyone knew that 4 more years of him in office would make his prognosis worse.

I hope he gets embarrassed and crawls off never to be seen again (a la Bobby Jindal)
