1. I don't know, but I don't miss Don Lemon.

Self-important asshat. If the reports about his on-set behavior toward women are true, then he's not the sort of guy we should root for. And even before then, he just came across as an empty suit to me.

Whatever personal qualities one must assume Licht has which would allow/lead him to make that trade, just those qualities alone are probably enough to explain him doing that without adding on an ultimatum from TFG.

That should be pretty obvious. Plus his egregiously sexist comments didn't help.

5. That Atlantic article made me think about the situation quite differently.

It seemed as though the main reason he was getting into it with his co-workers was over a difference in how issues should be approached: his two coworkers seemed to take the company's (read: Licht's) approach, whereas Lemon seemed more outspoken and wasn't willing to kowtow in that way.

Lemon was unhappy since his 10 pm slot was taken away and wasn't afraid to demonstrate that.

They were trying to move the network to the right before the Trump townhall and Lemon didn't go along with it.
