I admit that I have been enjoying watching the problems and issues for the TFG legal team. I admit that seeing the crime fraud exception invoke made me smile. Normally, the attorney client privilege is not disturbed or questioned.
This article describes some of the fun problems that TFG attorneys are having including C. Bobb, Corcoran, Boris Epshteyn, Parlatore, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and John Eastman. The TFG legal team is an incredible collection of bad lawyers who are being ignored by TFG

But when it comes to the many cases of former president Donald Trump, those sacred bonds are sometimes bent to the point of breaking. Whos to blame? Depends on who you ask, I suspect. But regardless of where the fault may lie, this kind of havoc does not bode well for Trumps legal future. When faced with so many legal challenges, a surgically orchestrated strategy is necessary. Sometimes, even just the outward image of prepared and organized calm is the goal. But with Trump, you have the perfect storm of infighting lawyers jostling for pole position and a client who is prone to embracing the microphone and never meeting a camera he didnt love. Its a recipe for an attorney-client disaster.....
Trump runs his mouth unfettered and unedited and uncontrolled. He spent considerable time during a recent town hall on CNN stating for all to hear, including prosecutors far and wide, that he took classified documents from the White House, and also took the opportunity to potentially defame Carroll further.
If hes being given legal advice not to talk, he is clearly not listening or he doesnt respect the counsel being dispensed. Historically, Trump has done and said whatever he wants, presumably regardless of the legal advice being provided by his dozens of attorneys. And oftentimes that has occurred to his legal peril. When facing multiple cases and multiple investigations, some of which could result in years of incarceration in prison, a client like Trump should not be speaking publicly about the facts of a case or the circumstances underlying the basis of an investigation. But Trump? Hell go on national TV and do it anyway.
It's interesting that throughout all of the dirty laundry airing of the inner turmoil regarding his legal team, Trump has remained unusually quiet. Trump himself has not come forward to voice his support for any one attorney. So the public continues, with a combination of fascination and disgust, to watch the train wreck that is Trump Legal World unfold like a political iteration of The Hunger Games. Which attorney will be left standing at the end?
This article has a great deal of fun looking at some of the issues that TFG's team of bad lawyers are having

(21,553 posts)drumpf is pretty much driven by two things........
His crippling need to be seen as rich and powerful, even if that means constantly lying, cheating and stealing to get ahead.
His crippling need to be praised and loved by those around him.
So rather than hire someone who will be honest with him, drumpf wants lawyers he knows will lie cheat and steal alongside him.
And there are plenty of unscrupulous lawyers that know that they can make a national name for themselves by throwing their hat into the MAGA ring. So they offer up their services and slobber all over drumpf's boots, surely with declarations that drumpf his the greatest most ingenious leader. The perfect "yes man" for the fragile ego of drumpf. Look at people like Jenna Ellis. And absolute nobody who was contesting traffic tickets, and now is known nationally. She was utterly incompetent as a lawyer but as a boot-licker she excelled, and now she's taken the fruits of her incompetence all the way to the bank.
Great for the shitty lawyers, not so great for drumpf who would have better off finding a lawyer that wouldn't kiss his ass, but actually knows how to do their job.

The professional standards usually associated with attorney-client relationships have been sometimes bent to the point of breaking, wrote Katie S. Phang, host of the Katie Phang Show.
She added: This kind of havoc does not bode well for Trumps legal future.
Trump has surrounded himself with an army of lawyers as he faces a series of trials and investigations including the Stormy Daniels hush money fraud case; a second defamation case from E. Jean Carroll; a $250 million civil lawsuit accusing him, three of his children and the Trump Organization of fraud; special counsel investigations into his keeping of classified documents and allegations that he tried to overturn the 2020 presidential election; and a probe by Georgia District Attorny Fani Willis into more allegations of tampering with election results......
She added: The public continues, with a combination of fascination and disgust, to watch the train wreck that is Trump Legal World unfold like a political iteration of The Hunger Games. Which attorney will be left standing at the end?

"First of all, when it came time to write that statement that said there were no more documents here, he drafted it but would not even sign it, okay? That is a red flag," she explained. "Then he gives it to another baby lawyer, who had another million other problems, and she wouldn't sign, and lord knows that woman will sign anything, and that was without some kind of a disclaimer."
"Now we also know, which shows there is a huge problem, that Corcoran has been in the grand jury, and he also kept meticulous, like long notes," she told the host. "It's like he was writing a novel or something about every conversation that he had, he audiotaped them while he was driving and they have been transcribed and given to the grand jury. It is so detailed is is beyond lawyer's notes into CYA notes; that is another red flag, he knows he is dealing with somebody who is not being straight with him."
"Now we know, what's also happening in this crazy legal team, is that [ex-Trump lawyer Tim] Parlatore has quit and he's accusing this Boris [Epshteyn] guy of obstructing getting the information from Bedminster, " she added. "So this is a bunch of some kind of beetles in a bottle together, and we will watch them fight it out."

(4,741 posts)That's the obvious explanation for what's going on.
He doesn't answer to anyone or anything--everyone does what he wants, when he wants, or they're fired. Even if they're trying to save him, he doesn't care--do what I want now, or else you're fired.
I don't feel sorry for any of them. They bought the ticket and got on the bloody roller coaster ride. Now you're on it until something stops the ride.
Can't be surprised when it ends in a derailment--like it has for so many others who got on the Screeching Colossus of Merde-a-Loco.
