Missouri Democrats see results of fund gap

http://www.columbiatribune.com/news/2012/nov/11/democrats-see-results-of-fund-gap/

"Nixon had $1.5 million in the bank 10 days before the election. The money he collected after reporting that figure included $424,000 from labor unions.

He explained why he wasn't helping fellow Democrats win House seats — and why he's reluctant to do so in the future — during a campaign stop Monday in Columbia.

"The public make the choices, and it is my responsibility to work with the people they elect," Nixon told reporters.. "Over the last few years, I have found it is helpful if folks I am meeting with, and talking about passing bills and passing budgets, know that I am not coming out of that meeting and figuring out how to whip them right on the other side of it."

The only statewide Democratic candidate who helped in House races was Attorney General Chris Koster, who gave $20,000 to the House Democratic Campaign Committee in the final 10 days."
