Here's something I want to know abt CNN Trump bonanza: Who decided @kaitlancollins would do it? Did Trump demand it? Or did CNN think the optics of Trump bullying their beautiful lead female anchor for an hour would be good for the brand?
Also, is it true that @ChrisLichtCNN did prep with Collins, rather than actual news producers?

If so, the willful optics of this--setting Trump up to deliver a very gendered bullying as surrogate for "news"--is all the more troubling.
This is not a dig on Collins. @jaketapper would have done no better at disrupting Trump's gaslighting.

But the optics would have been different, bc it would not have been a symbolic domination of a beautiful woman in lieu of news or truth.

My wife and I quit cable and broadcast television entirely more than a decade ago. We don't see any television commercials in our daily lives.

These days I think television is the worst medium for news and opinion, especially advertising supported news, and that it's always been that way even before cable channels like Fox News or CNN completely ruined it.

One of the reasons we quit cable is that we didn't want our money supporting entities like Fox News.

I do Roku streaming on my tv, and on occasion I'll tune in to local news broadcasts but it isn't "live" tv per se, exceptions do apply with the occasional live streaming news events. but mostly I use my youtube premium for music related vids. I have watched clips of MSNBC's evening hosts. MSNBC's on line offerings are just short clips of those programs. Enough to get the gist of what the clown shit show looked like for that day. (same as the day before etc). I remember struggling with that decisio.m. questioning the "wisdom".

LOL Once done, I've never looked back. However, during the Mueller investigation and the impeachment trials, I did go to the clubhouse and watch it on cable. that went on far too long.

And now here we all are still. reading about that psychotic pigs ;atest tow hall maggatevent courtesy CNN.
