Is there any evidence at all that Barack Obama wants to take anybody's guns?

What the hell? Why is Facebook all of a sudden lit up with hysterical posts about Obama coming for people's guns?? Is there anything at all to support that? I thought Obama had an abysmal gun control record.

...to single-issue voters. Sending them off to be third-party voters would have helped Obama.

Couldn't have that, and if it did happen and Romney lost, they would have put themselves in the crosshairs of the Scapegoat Targeting System. In the actual election, the STS seems to be going for "people who just want stuff handed to them".

D.C. vs. Heller struck down the handgun ban in D.C., and a 2010 law now allows loaded guns in national parks.

So, yeah, the facts on the ground are exactly opposite of the FB idiots' hysteria.

Those were court cases, not policies that he changed. In fact, I'm pretty sure that his administration filed an amicus brief in support of DC's gun laws in the Heller case, but I could be wrong.

FB RWers are all crazy so OF COURSE they are screeching about this.

One friend of mine yapped about Obama and the New World Order and then said she and her husband are gonna go stock up on guns and ammo while they can.

And these are otherwise nice, intelligent people. They have spent a few years in IN and GA, though, so they probably can't help themselves.

I could go in and on about how stupid and ignorant he is...calling Obama a communist, socialist, dictator...he's gonna take guns away...blah blah....this guy posted on fb..something along the lines of, a week after the Batman shooting in Colorado...the same night as the shooting in the Sikh temple in Wisconsin, that "he was sorry for the victims and families, but if everywhere was conceal and carry, and if you have a bigger gun than the shooter, this wouldn't happen. Obama is going to take guns away" We live in Illinois, not conceal and carry law here...but Colorado and Wisconsin are, yet shootings happened. I pointed out that people should not feel compeled to carry guns to their place of worship and that more people firing guns in a dark theater with people in costumes would have been an even bigger tragedy. He of course had some NRA backed comebacks.....UGH...he pissed me off so bad throughout this election...I will have a hard time forgiving his ignorance, as he called Obama every word but the N word on FB, but he would have if it wasn't public. Makes me sick.

Obama signed into law or changed the policy of allowing guns into national parks. Something presidents back to Reagan had all vetoed.

The White House official stand on protesters outside of Obama events carrying guns is, "As long as they're following local and state laws, it's not a problem."

Then after that, I start mocking them. "Yeah, Obama is coming for your guns... Just like he did in 2008... Of course, that was based off of the gun grab program of Clinton's back in 1996... which was a continuation of his seizing guns in 1992... Also, did you know that he's going to make it illegal to be a Christian? Just like you guys claimed he would in 2008... and Clinton in 1996... and 1992..."

Eventually they understand I'm making fun of them.

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

It's from a video that was taped at a fundraiser if I recall correctly. It was his "47% moment" for the right. Like any winger is want to do, they took this to mean that he is going to take away their guns. They were convinced of this in 2008 and since it didn't happen in his first term, I'm guessing they must have convinced themselves it'll happen in the 2nd term.

There were two candidates in this election. One broadened gun rights. The other strengthened gun control laws

Can anyone give me a reason beyond "Obama is a Democrat," that doesn't involve skin color, why the entire Second Amendment industry would line up behind the gun grabber?
