Second, he gets tried and convicted for incitement, seditious conspiracy, etc.

Then, the 14th amendment comes in to play.

If the states governed by republicans don’t back down with disregarding votes because they feel like it, the same can technically be done by the governments of opposition states.

There are many more remedies to come before things would approach that hypothetical balancing act though, because the act of disregarding votes to disregard an election for the purpose of forcibly electing a man who has been trying to disregard the Constitution for years is just not what the Constitution supports no matter how many people in any of the branches of government are paid or coerced to say or do otherwise.
