a spy during a hearing. No evidence of course. But also Nancy Mace released a video where she accused Biden of being involved in a prostitution ring. And she's supposedly "reasonable." "Journalists" like Andrea Mitchell and Katy Tur have her on so she can rehabilitate herself by making unchallenged moderate noises.

I know this is a dumb question, but how do they get away with it, and isn't it time we started fighting back?

That fact has kept US gutter press in business for decades with few successful lawsuits by people who could prove actual damages plus the fact that the tabloids knew it was a lie and printed it anyway. It's why a lot of slander and libel suits are fought in the UK, where the bar is a lot lower.

However, that doesn't mean that Swalwell can't demand she present her evidence, but he'd do far better to hit her with ridicule and laugh her out of the room. She's turning 50 next year, that great leveler, and as her figure thickens and her hair thins, she's going to start to fade away. She doesn't have anything but her looks going for her and they're not so great to start with. People are going to start focusing on the toads hopping out of her mouth.

I don't know who Nancy Mace is, but suggesting someone most people think of as old and deadly boring (Biden) of having any involvement with a prostitution ring is going to do nothing for the reputation she's so desperately trying to build. She wants to talk smack like that, she'd better have some evidence.

For the past eight or so years (I'm 61), my hair keeps getting thicker. And curlier. And grows like mad. I can cut my hair to above my shoulders, and it will be longer than my husband's in about 15 months (his is middle of his back long)

On the ugh side, the latest thing in my hair journey is a propensity for frizzing when the humidity gets high enough.

Still, I would have loved to have had hair like this in my youth. Well, except for the gray that's starting to seep in.

OTOH, I will say that I understand the complaints about thicker hair now. It's like the hair is everywhere these days, and it takes a beastly amount of time to air-dry. Used to, I'd be able to wash and go and have my hair dry by the time I got to work. Not anymore!

It was kind of a big story at the time (Probably not here, obviously. Did a search and came up with just about nothing). However, I never read of any evidence of an inappropriate affair. Just a lot of speculation and questions about it. The Right decided it was true and have been running with it ever since. It was during one of Trump's impeachment trials that much hay was made over it, because Swalwell was on the intelligence committee.

As far as I know, nothing ever came of it.
