Corporations typically carry both general liability insurance as well as errors and omissions coverage. The latter is used to protect not only the corporation, but individually its board members and executives. I would love to know how much of the settlement Faux's corporate insurance is paying.

(2,293 posts)...it is possible insurance won't pay. It was not an honest error. If you know your house has a structural issue that could cause collapse in high winds, and you do nothing about it and a wind storm knocks the house over, most insurers can walk away without paying.

as if some slipped and fell on your icy sidewalk. What they won't cover is most intentional torts, like if you beat someone up. Since Fox's defamation of Dominion was clearly intentional and knowing, I am wondering whether their business liability insurance will cover it. They might have specific coverage for it, though.
