And now, we watch the GOP go completely over the deep end.

We're already starting to see it, the reactions to Obama's re-election; the extreme hatred for those of us who voted for him. To them, we are nothing but a bunch of slackers who want stuff. They see us as anti-American, they see us as the enemy. Today, we have anecdotal stories of CEOs firing employees as revenge, businesses posting signs that if a patron voted for Obama they're not welcome, and a Texas congressman screaming for the secession of Texas.

I expect it to get much worse. Instead of learning from the loss and realizing maybe the problem is with them and their suffocating world view, they still see themselves as victims and will not take responsibility for any of their failings. Instead, they will become even more delusional and crazed, the only question is, how far will they go?

I met Texans from all over during my time in the military - all of them were proud, smart, sensitive people of all colors and heritage. That's why I'm shocked that your state seems to be loudly represented by racists and political POSs like Gomert, Perry and this secessionist.

I'm in Missouri. We've got lots of backwards people here, too but not nearly as many as Texas. Thanks to his own styoooo-pid words and the use of recording devices, we were able to get rid of Todd Akin. Hopefully, we can get Missourians to pay attention to the garbage that comes out of Sen Blount's mouth (author of the Blount Amendment) and we can deny him re-election.

Stop wasting your time calling me an asshole........work to get some intelligent, palatable Texans elected to office so you can be proud of the people that represent you and your state.

If it did, it would have to raise taxes quite a lot because the state gets so much federal dollars. That's the irony. The Texas government would then have to become exactly what the secessionists despise.

I don't know if they comprehend that if it's not attached to the US, Texas would look a lot like Ukraine. I'm not certain Texans want to cut their ego down to that size.

Republicans have to actually PAY a company to register voters for them! How SAD is that? So basically, for the repukes, having republican supporters only gets them their votes.

But for Democrats, their supporters bring in more voters, because we go oit and register more voters for free!

Anyway, don't leave it up to the DNC. Find out what the voter registration requirements are in your community. You may be able to hand out, collect and turn-in voter registration cards on your own. You can make a difference in your community while allowing the DNC to spend $ doing other things.

Sorry for rambling.......

Our education system and average IQ are fine. You'd definitely hurt that. Let's see: Can't spell and doesn't notice the bright red underlining of the misspelled word. Brilliant.

Texas is a beautiful state with a lot of wonderful people in it. It will go blue, again, within ten years. I spent the first 25 years of my life in a blue state. You couldn't pay me enough to go back there. No one could. I came to Texas to attend (and finish) graduate school at one of the top universities in the country. So much for sweeping statements.

Thank you for posting this nonsense. This and others in threads pushing blue state secession (<---) help me clean up the forums with the Full Ignore option. Life is too short to put up with willful foolishness.

I mean, do they really want to have Joe Biden who whipped the Tea bagger hero Paul Ryan so easily in the Debate as an incumbant? There is no way they will set that up in 2016 when the Rethugs can't win against an incumbant. Think about it, the last incumbant they beat was Jimmy Carter in 1980. That was due to a convergence of events and the media being totally in the tank for Reagan.

No, they're not going to impeach, they don't have to. As long as they have the House filled with Tea Bagger nuts they'll just keep obstructing the President and our agenda. That way, history will show that our President accomplished nothing, the country was in the toilet, and who will get the blame? Cantor and Ryan and the rest of the Tea Baggers? No, Historians will blame President Obama for the disaster that the Rethugs are already unleashing on us. They're going to jack unemployment up by shutting down factories and laying off workers. That will create the self fulliling prophacy that the Bush Tax cut Fiscal cliff, and the ACA were bad for the economy after all.

Think about it for a minute. All the Rethugs have to do to make the country fail is NOTHING. They pass no legislation that we can accept, but do pass insane variations for the Press to cling to. What happens? Ryan stands up there and says "We passed a comprehensive amnesty plan but the Senate hasn't moved on it. We passed a budget, but the Senate hasn't taken it up. We passed a jobs bill but the Senate hasn't even considered it." They stall for two years, in the hope of getting some more seats in the Senate. We shout and scream, and watch as the Fiscal cliff increases unemployment, while they and the plutocrats who back them just shut down companies because of taxes, which they're already doing, and we are left holding a bag full of dung while millions more are unemployed, and then homeless.

Don't think they won't be targeting those layoff's either. Does anyone think that one of the things the rich bastards will be doing is looking to see who donated/voted for Obama? The voted will be tougher, they'll have to go with registration, but the donation, anyone who donated $250 or more will show up on a list. Those folks will be targeted by the Plutocrats for layoffs.

They Rethugs aren't beaten, the Plutocrats aren't destroyed. If anything, they're more dangerous now than they were before the election.
