The First Amendment protects speech we always hear. Well it also protects the Press
and are books not Press? I could be wrong but I think books are both speech and press and all should be allowed. It is that Freedom thing to me.
The first amendment provides that congress make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects speech, the press, assembly and the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances. Also Pence is claiming to be a senator to avoid testifying. Was he paid a senators salary?

2. But only New Testament
the Old testament and the Khoran are not protected speech. And the Bagavad Ghita? Fuggeddaboutit.

3. I am sure that a lot of this book-banning will be litigated.
The ACLU is on it; here's one of their cases: https://www.aclu.org/cases/virginia-obscenity-proceedings-against-two-books

4. Pence is Schrodinger's VP,
simultaneously a member of the executive and legislative branches, and neither, whenever subpoenaed.
