Family Research Council calls for ‘civil disobedience’ to block same sex marriages

In an special broadcast titled “Election 2012: Aftermath & Aftershocks,” FRC president Tony Perkins told Senior Vice President Tom McClusky that LGBT marriage rights were still “morally wrong” even though pro marriage eqaulity measures passed in Maine, Maryland and Washington. Voters in Minnesota also defeated a proposed amendment to codify marriage discrimination in the state’s constitution.

“The people can vote on it — it’s the first time we’ve seen that [pass] — courts can rule on it, but I don’t think you can violate natural law and force Americans to recognize it as morally right,” Perkins explained.

“I think the term for a lot of things over the next four years, civil disobedience is going to come into play,” McClusky agreed.

I predict the Fuglicans are going to actually turn violent. They've been arming to the teeth and inciting violent paranoia for decades. That is going to produce open violence, eventually.

Just think, how can anyone be angry while they're kissing?

Someone once said it's impossible to be angry while listening to Beatles music. You can see why because they keep singing "love love love."

Bring on the straight kiss-ins, the world would be a much better place!

If you're a clerk, not fill out the form?

If you're a preacher/justice o peace, not perform?

If you're a bridal/tux shop, not sale/rent?

Oooooo... sooo scary.

The preacher would be within their rights. Not so for the JP.

The shop owners depends on the state, but they would probably be violating the law in a state that has passed same sex marriage into law.

My suspicion is something on the scale of Operation Rescue from the eighties blocking access to getting married physically.

then they also better have the police on speed-dial as I would show them just how un-civil my response to their disruption of a private function might be.

And the funny thing is, theire would be at least three current and two retired LEO's at any family function of mine to begin with, along with at least three attornies.

They're welcome to, I don't know, sit in front of a church holding a same-sex wedding and protest it. But they can't physically stop people and call it civil disobedience. This hate group should be watched very carefully.

But, as long as they do it in a civil way, I suppose it's alright. We'll just ignore their disobedience, like we do sometimes with unruly children. No need to give them the satisfaction of a response.

But since it is a choice in a free society, you get to have the right to not marry someone of your same sex. PERIOD!

We are not a theocracy, no matter how much you want to believe that.

How would you like it if I were to say you can no longer be a Catholic or Lutheran or Snake Handler but you have to be a Mormon.
