4. As a polka fan, i can attest to how much it is disliked
by the Villages. A saboteur could sneak in, play Roll Out The Barrel and the radio station could lose half its audience in 5 minutes.
With DeSantis in office, polka insurance is vital as he doesn’t like happiness. |

5. Media landscape is so dominated by rethugs -- Dems should grab opportunities to get some
more air time by buying up stations -- and there are actually stations out there priced so that you don't have to be an oligarch to own one.

6. But are they in markets where Democrats will listen?
People don’t listen to RW talk radio because its the only station available; they listen because it tells them their existing beliefs are true.
Add to which, the radio audience is aging out. Most Millenials aren’t tuning in to terrestrial radio. |

9. I don't know any specifics about the stations for sale. However, you underestimate
the power and popularity of radio -- here's an article from 2021(?) (couldn't find date).

8. Those low-priced ones are low-power daytime-only AM stations
Their only source of revenue is vanity programming where some yokel buys airtime and then does a talk show with either self-produced ads for $50 a pop or the host asking for donations, or resold airtime to a syndication market (how limbaugh got started 40 years ago) for $1/listener. If it was a money maker, they wouldn't be selling it.

12. I changed it. Apologies if I offended you.
The ongoing fascist practices of DeSantis were the reason for the "crack."
