At the time, I wrote this:

To get a result like this, two things needed to happen:

1.) The rigging technology required that the ballot boxes were, as it were, pre-stuffed.

2.) Dennis did far worse than they expected. And the ad(s) that everyone alludes to may have done just that.

Here's the irony: they probably rigged when they didn't have to. Delicious, no?


In other words, there was an Over-Rigging that made the rig fairly obvious. So maybe, just maybe, someone tried to cut it closer this time and got burned by a larger-than-expected turnout.
