When government services start shutting down.....

What would happen if the FBI background check for guns was also shut down? Would all (legal) gun sales have to be halted?

And even if it did, Federal law allows for the gun to be transferred to the purchaser after 72hours if the background check is delayed. State laws may impose a longer wait.
