1. I think it's only 1%, but damn, I thought there was a big turnout, and this looks like it's going to

be several million less than 2008.

4. Actually I thought it galvanized a lot of people to get out there and vote. That and the threats

of voter intimidation, the thought of the Repubs winning, etc. But it could be as someone else posted - that non-swing state voters didn't turn out quite as much. I always do, no matter what. Can't bitch if you don't vote; that's my motto.

5. Probably lower turnout in blue states

Particularly blue states hit by Sandy. Lower turnout in places that suppressed voting.
