He won with a mandate last night. Part of that mandate was to do something about the Bush taxcuts.
The Republicans act as if the election never took place. They need to be instructed sternly before the delusions take hold.
The taxcuts are going to end. No ifs, ands, or buts. We can keep the taxcuts for those making less than $250K per year or we can let them all end. That is up to Mr Boehner and Mr McDonnell. We have to do something about the unfairness and the deficit. If we must let them all expire, we will. We will then request that the House pass a taxcut for the middle-class that will stand on its own. If they refuse, they can answer to the voters in the next election.
