Once again her lead segment was the importance of holding Trump and his inner circle accountable. She gets to the heart of the matter show after show, when is DOJ going to pull the trigger, has DOJ decided yet if it is proper to indict a former president?
She laid out the evidence, the facts that were dug up by the J6 committee and the consensus show after show is that there is enough evidence right now to indict Trump and others for several crimes, not every crime, but several crimes.
The rest of cable news is out to lunch just doing segments on what domestic oligarchs want them talking about.

(47,260 posts)I watch less cable news than I used to, so some days I just watch one maybe two shows. I really like Lawrence's opening segment. Other days I'll watch Nicolle Wallace or Chris Hayes. Occasionally I'll watch Ari Melber.

(47,260 posts)I only watch daytime cable news when there is a major news story going on like an election or a hearing or today's vote for the speaker. I try if possible to avoid Andrea Mitchell, She really irritates me, so it isn't worth the effort.
For awhile my favorite news host was Brian Williams and I was so unhappy when he left. He was so professional, amiable, and subtly witty.
I'd watch Katy Tur if she was on later.

(9,998 posts)How many times do I have to hear these guests discuss how THIS time hell be held accountable?
How many times will they get paid to appear and be completely wrong?

(18,864 posts)and fun to watch. She has impeccable ethics. She's kind of the opposite Kayleigh M. She is really naturally pretty and so well spoken. And , boy does she know her stuff.
She has her husband on as a contributer but they are so professional that I still don't know which one he is.

(61,690 posts)She's very likeable. I watch her first hour every day, and usually watch part of the second hour, depending on what is happening that day.
I watch the early part of Morning Joe to catch up on any overnight political news. I can't watch all of it, and segments are repeated on the show.

(808 posts)From the NY Times. They seem like such an unlikely couple, but you're right, you'd never know they are a couple by watching them because they are such professionals.

(53,741 posts)as a former republican and seeing the light. trump's antics have awaken other former republicans, which is a good thing.
I enjoy her show, but MSNBC's afternoon line-up of hosts is pretty strong as well Melber, Reid, Hayes, O'Donnell are all top shelf IMO.

(21,256 posts)Both siderism man.
I may turn on Reid to catch what she is wearing.
I admit to watching Hayes once in a while, he is Nicolle lite.
O'Donnell always wants to out scoop everyone. I was watching the Bills/Bengals game when the horrific injury happened so later I flipped on Lawrence to see if he had an update. I think he got himself in trouble last night by repeating a Tweet from an agent of Hamlin's giving a medical status report. I haven't seen that information verified yet today.

(53,741 posts)I still feel that her being formerly a republican still colors her judgment somewhat. But I do welcome her for coming over from the dark side. The others i mentioned didn't need trump's maga antics to know which side works for the people and not the rich.

(21,256 posts)when she says these words to a guest, "I have to push back on that." Her guest is in for a strong dose of reality.
PatSeg
(47,260 posts)So many hosts when they try to "push back" are rude and overbearing.

(1,336 posts)Not like the old days when you got your network news at 6p.m. and 11p.m. And when it was only news and not opinion -- that was left for a very few specific shows.
I don't get MSNBC, just CNN. It's the same there - every hour it's a repeat story with a new host.

(50,783 posts)I watch Rachel on Mondays. And might catch O'Donnell depending on how late I stay up. I tape his to catch him later if needed.
Sometimes I might catch Chris Hayes.
I do not like Alex Wagner or the morning or early afternoon.

(10,122 posts)But I still am uncomfortable passing harsh judgement on the DoJ efforts.
We do not know all the facts.
Who are they trying to flip?
What other evidence are they trying to collect?
etc, etc
As Nicole and so many other have pointed out: they have a lot of evidence - enough to indict.
Everything happens for a reason.
I strongly suspect they have their reasons for not indicting yet.
One positive is that Trump seems to sense it. He's squirming. I don't mind that.

(4,756 posts)and at the same time she takes no prisoners. I could care less that she was once a Republican as no one is perfect and I think this gives her a unique perspective. Converts can become your strongest allies. She is my only "must" watch. I have her on auto-record.

(8,017 posts)Chris Hayes is my favorite, but I really like them all. And of course I never miss Rachel's show on Monday.
I think every single one of the MSNBC night time anchors are absolutely great.
