2. He's a good man, but we REALLY need to move away
from religious zealots in office. This country needs to jettison belief in supernatural mythology and embrace science and reason.

4. Well his speech sure had a lot of god talk in it.
Why bring that nonsense into a secular process? He wasn’t speaking to his church congregation .

5. He's hardly a zealot. Yours is a minority opinion. He'll be a force...
if he decides to run for president as there is such a thing as freedom of religion in America. Why it's guaranteed in the very first amendment in the Bill of Rights.
It's not a deal breaker to most voters as he doesn't proselytize. |

16. Black Christians
are our most loyal base. Why should we jettison them from our party? And there’s plenty of Christians who embrace science. The question of whether God exists or not is not answered by current science.

18. Why would we jettison the voters? Just jettison the god talk in political contexts.
Speak of science, which is universal, unlike religious sects.
And you've got it backwards -- you don't start assuming something exists and try to prove it. You first need evidence that something exists before you can make a supposition that it does. Your statement is exactly like saying "the question of whether sparkle-rainbow unicorns exist is not answered by current science." Nobody has ever provided a shred of solid evidence to support the existence of supernatural beings in the entirety of human history. Humans have, however, made up a lot of stories about fictional characters like Yahweh, Jesus, Mohammad, Thor, Frigg, Gilgamesh, Zeus, Isis, Kali, Ishtar, Hecate, Wahanda, Quetzalcoatl, Tiamat, and so on. |

7. I'm sure that's a great idea
but consider it unlikely to happen for many decades....
In the interim, I would prefer for a Democrat to control the White House.... |

There is a collective daddy complex at work.

17. Sorry but we barely got his senate seat
and we are hanging on to the senate majority by a hair. I am not eager to have him or Ossoff go anywhere. They can do a lot of good in those senate seats. Why not have them stay there? We have plenty of democratic talent who currently do not have an important senate seat to fill. I'm thinking Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams, just to name a few...
