In a podcast, Klepper discusses with two guests the origin of the conspiracy theory about JFK Jr being alive and becoming Trump's VP so they can fight the Deep State together. One guest is an expert on political conspiracy theories. The other is a doctor, but I didn't catch what kind of doctor (PhD, MD, psychiatrist?).
They talk about why people fall for this belief and who is most likely to believe it. They also discuss how these believers affect real life, the future of Qanon, and how many people are actually dedicated believers.

(21,312 posts)JFK Jr, aka John-John, was born in 1960. He would be 62 years old today if still alive.
Just sayin'.

(344 posts)in the family called him that.
I had no idea it was something made up by a couple of reporters who heard his father calling him, shouting his name twice back to back, on the South Lawn (I believe). Jackies personal assistant talked about this.
Anyway, just a side note.

(21,312 posts)was to clarify and emphasize which JFK the OP is about. John-John, regardless of how he or his family felt about it as a nickname, is a name easily recognizable by most people as the son, not the father.
TheBeam19
(344 posts)share the story behind that nickname because in my experience most people have no knowledge of it.
Most people would know Jr. as well.
wnylib
(21,312 posts)obviously did not know or notice the "Jr" after JFK because he claimed that he would be 102 years old today.
I don't know how old you are, but anyone old enough to watch TV who lived during the time that the Kennedy family was in the WH, or in the years right after that would easily remember and recognize the John-John nickname.

(344 posts)Do you think if someone was so disengaged that they didnt know that President Kennedy wasnt a junior they would know his son by that nickname? That would be an interesting individual to talk to!
wnylib
(21,312 posts)and missed seeing the "Jr" after JFK.
Hard to imagine that DUers would not know that there were both Sr and Jr JFKs.
Seems to be quite a significant side topic for you. I think that the podcast link in the OP is much more interesting.
Bye.

(21,312 posts)interviews with people. Would that carry over to a comedy show format? I think he'd have to do other things, too, besides interviews on the ground if he took over the show. But yes, he is really good.
