He is a domestic enemy of our constitution and self proclaimed leader of same.
He faces a possible 20 year sentence. Why not death? He and his kind provided the gallows. You plot to overturn the results of a free and fair election. You commit treason. And you are going to jail? If 20 years is supposed to send a message, then send the message with a megaphone and sentence him to die for trying to murder our country. That may keep future dumbasses from dabbling with the Virus of Trumpism.

(8,387 posts)Treason and sedition are different things.
Sedition is attempting to unlawfully overthrow the government.
Treason is aiding an enemy.

(37,016 posts)What a fine patriot ole Stewart was. I heard a talking head say that this verdict should give a degree of peace to his wife. Many viewers might not know why. Abuse your spouse, abuse your country, lie, be sucked in by a conman. But God Bless America (said the atheist) the good guys are winning.
Thanks for the reminder underpants. Hopefully his wife and son can find a degree of serenity. Holy crap who would object to serenity in the land of the free? Answer that question Kevin McCarthy.
