(41 posts)Not for Obama or Romney. Just more Republicans voted early than Democrats but it seemed pretty equal. Not worried. I don't think it will come down to Colorado anyway.

(30,439 posts)according to the polls.

(2,921 posts)Some Republicans are Paulbots, and may not be voting for Rmoney, but rather Gary Johnson.
He's polling about 7% - and every Johnson vote is another Obama vote because it takes away the # for Rmoney.
Obama is indeed ahead in Colorado...I think he definitely has a good chance at picking it up.
I believe that Romney's lead with voter's who cast ballots TODAY is not large enough (by a decent bit) to beat Obama's lead today or his "behind" in early votes.
I'm pretty certain on this.

(19,458 posts)If you scroll down a bit, there is two pie charts (red/blue) that show how Denver voted in 2004 and 2008. In 2004, 70% of voters (regardless of affiliation) voted for Kerry. 2008??? 76% voted for Obama. The point is that every single place I look, has the same thing. The independents and many republicans voted for Obama in 2008. Around 6% in many places.
Don't focus on party affiliations. PLus, you know nothing of the areas that voted early.

(54,256 posts)"unaffiliated voters, 569,182."
Did they vote for 'unaffiliated'?
What this tells me is that x number of registered repugs and Dems have voted.
Who did they vote for?
Not clear from the story.

Colorado has more registeed pugs than Democrats, so more pugs voting is not a surprise.

(9,656 posts)I was once registered R so I could vote in the primary to help protect moderate candidates from being primaried by wing nuts. My daughter is still registered R for much the same reason. It will be OK.

(2,434 posts)We're a very purple state and have an almost equal number of Dems, Reps and Unaffilliateds. But Reps actually have more registered than Dems. The U's swing heavily to D's and that is why we call them as strongly as all Dems. Keep it together Littlest. We're workin' it.
