Just made some PA GOTV calls from Manhattan.

Most people weren't picking up. The responses I got however were positive.

I guess swing state voters have gotten so many calls they aren't answering their phones anymore.

Has any one here had this experience?

1. When I did calls in here in Colorado in 2008 I hardly got any answers

I know I'll ignore a lot of calls and let them go because they are most likely a scumney robocall. I've only had one live person - a really nice older lady making calls from Massachusetts. We gabbed for quite awhile.

2. I live in PA and stopped answering calls not in my directory last week. It is bad here in PA,

today we had 11 calls. Seven left messages, one Bill Clinton and the rest were republicans shouting out crap about their candidates.

6. I'm sorry. We usually thank all Democratic callers. It just became too much to answer every call.

3. I'm in PA, and we have stopped answering our land line.

So many calls (mostly not for presidential race) that they all become a blur. Hard to believe it's doing anyone any good. The people benefiting are the companies providing the robo-call services.

4. There are still people without electricity in PA

The ones who do finally have electricity have thrown away their rotting food and have been shopping for replacements. The stores here are packed with shoppers, and the store shelves are slowly getting filled.

Some people who have no electricity have abandoned their homes for a stay with relatives who do. That's one of the reasons why no one answers the phone.

Then there is the busy signal, even when someone is not on the phone, or "please hang up and call again later." We're not as bad off as New York or New Jersey, but we did sustain a lot of damage. You can see pictures of the storm damage at WFMZ.com.
