I don't understand this.

It appears now that we have two grand juries in D.C. investigating TTDFG. Shouldn't this lying bastard be sitting in Gitmo, or some other secure place, waiting to go to trial? He has done more harm to the American psyche than anyone else I can think of.

1. Perhaps being used as a continuously growing evidence locker on him AND others.

Otherwise, locked up with bare minimum as flight risk to avoid prosecution with charges pending?

STFU is not available for the man, at this time, give him a MIC!

2. Good point.

He can't stay quiet, so STFU doesn't work for him. The result? more evidence.

3. Funny how people hated Gitmo 15 years ago

Now it's "Throw him in Gitmo without charges!!!!"

Seems that morals are fluid when it comes to TFG...

5. Actually, I never hated Gitma.

I just felt those imprisoned there deserved a trial.

My morals are the same for TTDFG. He should be put in prison awaiting trial. I realize he needs to be indicted, but we have all been witnesses to what he did during January 6. That should be enough.

11. I still hate the concentration camp in Cuba

But as long as our government continues to lie to us about that gulag - that it's where the alleged worst of the worst are being held, without charge or trial - then it seems a suitable place to incarcerate the former guy under the same conditions.

If official governmental entities want to deny that it's a suitable place for the former guy, then ask why it remains open and why those incarcerated there continue to languish without due process. This is a stain on our nation and a betrayal of our announced ideals. It's a continuing crime against humanity.

4. So you want people incarcerated before a grand jury returns an indictment?

7. No.

I want him incarcerated awaiting an indictment. I realize he would get out, but I feel better saying it. I cannot stand him and am tired of his illegal ways.

15. Of what crime has Trump been convicted?

You can certainly argue that Trump has done more harm to the American psyche. You can argue that he should have been charged with multiple crimes, convicted, and imprisoned. All of those arguments can be had.

Grand Juries don't convict and/or sentence. They investigate allegations to see if they merit a criminal charge. Then it goes to trial, then if convicted, the appropriate sentence is given.

Having Trump sitting in Guantanamo Bay military prison, would be anathema to the way our judicial and criminal justice system is set up.
